SheScores
This project was used to display skills and ideas accumulated throughout projects and classes taken in the College of Design program at Iowa State. Sports apps that give scores, news and other team information are in one of the most popular app categories, with millions of downloads each year. However, these apps often give priority and focus to male-dominated sports like basketball and football, and male athletes in the news. This new app would turn the focus to women’s sports like softball, volleyball, F1 Academy, and women’s hockey. With the same intense, bold aesthetic of other sports apps, this app would welcome in the new emphasis on women in sports.
